In conventional load-sense systems, there is a delay between a hydraulic function being impeded by an external force and further motion of the function. This is typically due to cavitation on the low pressure side of the pump. Electro-hydraulic systems, however, typically respond very quickly because the low pressure side of the pump may be pressurized because the low-pressure side of the actuator may feed directly to the pump rather than going to tank. Thus, an operator cannot as easily rely on feedback for when a function has encountered an external load. This may result in loss of vehicle traction or other drawbacks. Therefore, provided is a system and method for mimicking a load-sense system's responsiveness using an electro-hydrostatic system via an induced passive or active time-delay.

In a hybrid electric vehicle in which an internal combustion engine and an electric motor/generator are connected via a clutch, the controller performs the following processing before the operation of the internal combustion engine stops in a stationary state of the vehicle while the clutch is engaged. Specifically, it is determined whether or not the clutch can be disengaged within a predetermined time period. If the clutch can be disengaged within a predetermined time period, the clutch is disengaged. If the clutch cannot be disengaged within the predetermined time period, a driving torque of the internal combustion engine is lowered to an engine stoppable torque set in advance while the clutch is engaged. A small hand-held tool has a concavely open, center-symmetric, cutting edge at a forward end. To cut an elongate object such as a woody weed stem in a garden, the cutting edge is forcibly applied, preferably horizontally, at about or just below ground level in a forward direction simultaneously with an alternating side-to-side horizontal force to turn the tool and the cutting edge in a to-and-fro motion around the elongate object being cut. Forwardly inclined, center-symmetrically disposed saw teeth on the cutting edge will quickly cut the woody stem below ground so that no stubs are left sticking out of the ground to later trip the unwary. If the tool is fitted instead with a cutting blade provided with, for example, tungsten carbide-tipped teeth, or even a toothless edge coated with a layer of tungsten carbide grit, a patient user could apply the thus adapted tool to cleanly cut through much harder objects like steel bars or pipes, e.g., right where they are projecting from a wall or a concrete floor.

Methods and computer programs that allows users to move game objects in a virtual space with movements performed on current and future portable devices. By using existing technologies in such devices, the methods computer movement relative to the devices themselves in order to detect swinging motions, panning motions, moving motions and gesture and then to apply them to game objects and game cameras inside the virtual space. Moving the physical device causes the devices sensors to respond. The methods interpret this data and provide real time updates within a virtual space on the device as well as transmit the updates to another device that is also moving. This enables 2 players to connect to each other and each player is able to move their device and see it reflected within the others virtual space. This eliminates the need of real world references.
