A dump truck (1), being a transport vehicle with a current collector, includes a dump bed (5) for carrying loads; a pantograph (7) which extends to receive power from an overhead line (8), and retracts so as to be separated from the overhead line (8); a vehicle body (3) upon which the dump bed (5) is mounted, and which has drive wheels (32) that are rotationally driven by power from the pantograph (7) and/or a self-propelling drive source; a pantograph position detector (91) for detecting the relative position between the pantograph (7) and the overhead line (8); and a control device (4) for controlling the direction of travel of the vehicle body (3) so as to be in a position where the pantograph (7) and the overhead line (8) are connected, or for issuing information that enables the direction in which the vehicle body (3) should be operating to be recognized.
