    Abstract: Apparatus and methods for assisting a flight crew with (e.g., pre-flight) functional testing of aircraft systems are disclosed. An aircraft condition can be used to select one or more functional tests that are applicable based on the aircraft condition. The aircraft condition can be used to initiate the execution of the one or more applicable selected functional tests. The aircraft condition can also be used to identify the one or more functional tests that are applicable on a display device so as to guide the flight crew during the execution of the functional tests.

    Abstract: A method and system for evaluating the position of landing gear on an aircraft has been developed. A change is detected in audio noise of the aircraft from an enhanced flight audio recording system (EFARS) and compared with a database of audio outputs of the aircraft with the landing gear extended. An increase in vibrations of the aircraft is detected with a flight management system (FMS) and compared to a database of vibrations of the aircraft with the landing gear extended. A decrease in airspeed of the aircraft is detected with the FMS and compared with a database of airspeed of the aircraft with the landing gear extended. The position of the landing gear is determined based on results of comparisons of the change in audio noise, the increase in vibrations and the decrease in airspeed. The position of the landing gear to is then indicated to the pilot.

    Abstract: An indication to perform a recovery action, including by deploying a first and second parachute canopy is output. Sensor data, which includes parachute canopy state information associated with the first parachute canopy and the second parachute canopy, is received from a sensor. It is determined, based at least in part on the sensor data, whether to generate a control signal with a value associated with maneuvering the aircraft into a nose-up position. If the parachute canopy state information indicates the first parachute canopy is collapsed and the second is inflated, the control signal is generated with the value associated with maneuvering the aircraft into the nose-up position. A load on the second parachute canopy is reduced if the aircraft is in the nose-up position compared to the aircraft being in a nose-down position. The control signal is output.

    Abstract: A hydrogen supply assembly for an aircraft propulsion system includes a storage housing, a hydrogen supply component, and a leak detection system. The storage housing surrounds and forms a storage plenum. The hydrogen supply component is disposed within the storage housing coincident with the storage plenum. The leak detection system includes an interior pressure sensor, an exterior pressure sensor, and a controller. The interior pressure sensor is connected in fluid communication with the storage plenum. The exterior pressure sensor is connected in fluid communication with an ambient atmosphere outside the storage housing. The controller is configured to determine a differential pressure between the storage plenum and the ambient atmosphere with the interior pressure sensor and the exterior pressure sensor and identify a presence or an absence of hydrogen leakage from the hydrogen supply component to the storage plenum by comparing the determined differential pressure to a first differential pressure threshold.
