Abstract:
An adjustable linkage to support an object comprising a pair of arms rotatable about a first axis, one of said arms supporting said object and damper means disposed about said first axis between said arms for selective rotational movement and placement of said object relative said other arm.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for a ventilated chair backing assembly comprising: a foam chair backing component with a first plurality of ventilation holes extending from a front surface to a back surface, said plurality of holes having a skin; an internal support component with a second plurality of ventilation holes extending from a front surface to a back surface aligned to the first plurality of holes.
Abstract:
An office chair has multiple moving parts and controls for the different moving parts of the chair. The chair includes a control directory which is in a more visibly accessible position than the controls to a person sitting in the chair. The chair further includes control switches which when activated provide a guide to distinguish which particular set of instructions on the directory pertains to each of the controls. The control switches are activated without producing operation of the actual controls.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a coating comprising prepolymer and monomers for application onto polyurethane for chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, water proof etc. Usually polyurethane is porous and does not have sufficient stain, abrasion and chemical resistance. The said coatings developed using technology of chemical grafting that involves the use of prepolymers, monomers, catalyst, graft initiator, wetting agents, fillers and other ingredients of the composition. The coating thus obtained when applied on the polyurethane allows obtaining graft polymerization, thereby forming a polymeric film chemically attached to the substrate. The polyurethane substrate is reacted with graft initiator which creates the reaction sites on the substrate via free radical mechanism. This in turn renders the substrate receptive to attachment of monomers/prepolymers forming polymeric film that is chemically bonded to the substrate which has then the desired property in terms of stain resistance, abrasion wear, crock, water, chemical resistance and other properties.
Abstract:
The invention relates o a chair having a seat structure formed by a frame member that defines a central opening. A flexible membrane extends across the central opening. A pair of support pads, one disposed on either side of the cross-beam member, is provided and arranged at a level below the central opening of the frame member. The support pads are arranged within the seat structure so as to be rearwardly disposed with respect to the front edge of the frame by a first distance and spaced apart from each other by a second distance, the first and second distances generally corresponding to the positioning of the ischicial tuberosity of a user when the user assumes a seated position engaging the seat structure.

Abstract:
An armrest for a chair having a first member connected to the chair; a second member selectively rotatable relative the first member; means disposed between the first and second members for resisting the rotational movement between the first and second members.
Abstract:
A method of clamping paper in a paper clip is disclosed where the paper clip has spaced first and second opposed surfaces connected together at a rear edge and a cam member having a tab at one end thereof and a cam surface at another end thereof whereby the tab is moved between an open and closed position. The first and second opposed surfaces comprised of bent metal.
Abstract:
A chair (1), bed, lounge or other similar type structure has electrical functions or features and also has an energy converter (21, 9, 59) which produces electrical power from conditions to which the structure is exposed on a regular basis to power the functions or features.
Abstract:
A convertible furniture apparatus including a plurality of three pivotally interconnecting planar cushioned sections with a rearward most section, an intermediate section, and a forward most section. A support structure to which the rearward most section is pivotally secured along a first crosswise axis extending along an upper most edge proximate underside thereof. A second crosswise axis interconnecting the rearward most and intermediate sections and a third crosswise axis interconnecting the intermediate and forward-most cushioned sections. A support frame extending from an underside of the forward-most section and which can be displaced within the support structure and underneath the rearward most and intermediate sections in a reverse folded arrangement associated with a chair configuration. The forward most cushion section being displaced outwardly from the support structure concurrent with unfolding of the interconnected sections to achieve a horizontal extended bed configuration.
