Abstract:
A vehicle engine control device stopping fuel injection if a predetermined fuel cut condition is satisfied, is provided, during running with the fuel injection stopped, when inertia of a power transmission system rotating with the engine has a smaller rate of inertia of the power transmission system acting on rotation of an output shaft of the engine, the fuel injection being started at a lower engine rotation speed as compared to the case of a larger rate of inertia of the power transmission system acting on rotation of the output shaft of the engine, a clutch capable of connecting and interrupting power transmission between the engine and the power transmission system being interposed between the engine and the power transmission system, a rate of inertia of the power transmission system acting on rotation of the output shaft of the engine being configured to decrease as a clutch stroke of the clutch that is an operation amount of a clutch pedal increases, and an engine rotation speed for starting the fuel injection being set to a lower value as the clutch stroke increases.
Abstract:
The invention provides a fiber collimator array including a fiber array in which a plurality of optical fibers is arrayed and a microlens array in which microlenses are arrayed on positions corresponding to the plurality of optical fibers on a transparent substrate. Each microlens and the transparent substrate are oppositely arranged so that a plurality of projections formed on a bottom face of each microlens intersects with a plurality of projections formed on a surface of the transparent substrate, and each microlens and the transparent substrate are adhered to each other by the adhesive.
Abstract:
A propeller shaft having high wear resistance is provided. The propeller shaft has a spline shaft and a spline sleeve meshing with each other, and a DLC coating is applied to any one of the spline shaft and the spline sleeve. The DLC coating has surface roughness Ra of 0.5 μm or smaller.
Abstract:
A housing 20 is equipped for supporting, from a side, a platform of a wavelength selection device comprising an input/output port 10, a collimator 11, an expanding optical system 12, a spectroscopic element, a collecting optical system 14 and a micro electro mechanical system (MEMS) mirror array 15. Because the above noted optical member is supported from the side only, influences of a thermal expansion is limited to the height direction of the optical member and the optical axis direction. By these aspects, the influence of thermal expansion is limited to a two-dimensional from a common three-dimensional, thereby enabling a design of a countermeasure to an influence of a thermal expansion. Also, the support from the side does not create a dead space thereby making the wavelength selection device compact.

Abstract:
The present disclosure concerns a fishing rod which reduces resistance between a fishline and a tubular member of the fishing, thereby allowing the fishline to be transported through the tubular member smoothly. The tubular member incorporates a diffusion property on its interior surface for spreading waterdrops into a thin film of water.
Abstract:
A suspension apparatus has suspension units mounted on wheels and each unit has a fluid spring chamber. Fluid is supplied to contracted fluid spring chambers and is exhausted from elongated fluid spring chambers to control the change in position of the vehicle. In the position control mode, a large-diameter path is selected to supply or exhaust a large amount of compressed fluid. In the height control mode, a small-diameter path is selected to supply or exhaust a small amount of compressed fluid. The required amounts of compressed fluid can be supplied to the fluid spring chambers in both the position and height control modes.

Abstract:
A wavelength selective optical switch of the present invention separates a WDM light emitted from an input port of an input and output optical system, according to wavelengths, by a diffraction grating, and thereafter, condenses the lights of respective wavelengths on MEMS mirrors respectively corresponding to the respective wavelengths, in a mirror array, to reflect them by a condenser optical system, to thereby switch optical paths for the respective lights. The condenser optical system is configured by combining a plurality of lenses whose focal distances are different from each other, and positions in an optical axis direction of the lenses are adjustable by a slide mechanism. Thus, despite an error in the focal distances of the condenser lenses, in a mounting angle of a spectral element or the like, a beam pitch at the condensing positions of the lights of respective wavelengths can be coincident with a mirror pitch in the mirror array.
Abstract:
In an input-output optical system of spatially optical coupled type, a spacer is provided in at least one of input and output optical systems and interposed between a lens array block and a fiber block without blocking an optical path for ensuring a distance corresponding to a focal distance of collimating lenses. As a result, highly-accurate, highly-stable alignment of an optical axis can be readily realized.
