    Abstract: A method for supporting the use of a hearing aid having a signal processing device for generating an output signal as a function of an input signal, includes suppressing noise in the input signal by using a digital filter. A first configuration for the digital filter is stored in the signal processing device, resulting in the digital filter having a first filtering effect, a second configuration for the digital filter is stored in the signal processing device, resulting in the digital filter having a second, reduced filtering effect. A triggerable time-controlled adaptation process is stored in the signal processing device. The first configuration is specified as a starting configuration and the adaptation process is executed after being triggered by the signal processing device, thereby transferring the configuration from the first configuration to the second configuration. A hearing aid configured to carry out the method is also provided.

    Abstract: A hearing device has a signal processor which has an adjustable parameter that has a given setting at a given time. The parameter is set depending on the situation by selecting a setting, depending on an environmental situation and by a learning machine. A current setting of the parameter can be rated by feedback from a user. In a first training procedure the learning machine is passively trained by negative feedback signals, by rating feedback from the user as dissatisfaction with the current setting and by assuming the user's satisfaction with the current setting as long as no feedback is given. In a second training procedure the learning machine is trained by changing the current setting independently of the feedback from the user and in spite of an assumed satisfaction with the current setting, so that the user is offered a different setting which can then be rated by feedback.

    Abstract: A method and a device for analyzing hearing aid device settings of a first hearing aid device by a second hearing aid device. The first and the second hearing aid device each have an acousto-electric converter and an electro-acoustic converter. The method includes the step of acoustically coupling the electro-acoustic converter of the first hearing aid device to the acousto-electric converter of the second hearing aid device by a coupling device. In a further step, the acousto-electric converter of the first hearing aid device is exposed to an acoustic test signal. In one step, an acoustic output signal of the electro-acoustic converter of the first hearing aid device is detected by the acousto-electric converter of the second hearing aid device. In a further step, the detected acoustic output signal is analyzed.
