    Abstract: A method may include determining at a first AP that a first original packet sent from a second AP to a STA failed to decode at the STA. The method may include sending from the first AP a first retransmission packet that includes error correction information for the first original packet the STA. The method may include the first AP coordinating with a third AP that is sending an ongoing communication to another STA to avoid interference between the first retransmission packet and the ongoing communication. The method may include sending a second original packet from the first AP to the STA or the other STA.

    Abstract: An example method may include obtaining default transmitting parameters and potential variations of the default transmitting parameters for a packet to be transmitted over a wireless network. The method may also include obtaining medium state information for a medium of the wireless network. The method may additionally include generating a first candidate of transmitting parameters and a second candidate of transmitting parameters based on the medium state information, where each of the first and second candidates of transmitting parameters are consistent with at least one of the default transmitting parameters and the potential variations of the default transmitting parameters. The method may also include selecting from among the first and the second candidates of transmitting parameters to use when transmitting the packet over the wireless network.

    Abstract: A method to operate a wireless access point (WAP) that includes identifying multiple stations from uplink statistics of a plurality of uplinks and determining an optimal spatial state of an antenna array for reception of the plurality of uplinks. Channel state information (CSI) is evaluated for each antenna in the antenna array. Determining the optimal spatial state of the antenna array includes using the CSI for each antenna to extrapolate the optimal spatial state of the antenna array for the plurality of uplinks. The method further includes changing a spatial state of the antenna array to the optimal spatial state.

    Abstract: Example operations may include initiating wireless transmission of a first data frame of data designated for wireless transmission. The wireless transmission of the first data frame may be via a first wireless signal packet configured to carry the data of the first data frame. The operations include directing termination of the wireless transmission of the first data frame via the first wireless signal packet prior to wireless transmission, via the first wireless signal packet, of all of the data of the first data frame. In addition, the operations include directing, in response to termination of transmission of the first data frame, wireless transmission of a termination signal, the termination signal indicating that transmission of the first data frame via the first wireless signal packet terminated prior to completion of transmission of all of the data of the first data frame via the first wireless signal packet.

    Abstract: A method includes building a wireless packet that includes a preamble that is compliant with a first wireless communication protocol and is forward compatible with a second wireless communication protocol that is different than the first wireless communication protocol. Building the wireless packet includes building the preamble with a first subset of bits that are specified in both the first wireless communication protocol and the second wireless communication protocol, the first subset of bits including one or more media access control (MAC) layer characteristics. Building the wireless packet includes building the preamble with a second subset of bits that are specified in the first wireless communication protocol exclusive of the second wireless communication protocol. The method further includes transmitting the wireless packet to one or more receiver nodes.

    Abstract: Disclosed wireless networks, wireless devices and methods may provide adaptive spatial reuse to optimize communications performance. In one illustrative embodiment, a wireless network station includes: a baseband processor that frames data units for wireless transmission to a given station; and a radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC) that couples the baseband processor to one or more antennas. The baseband processor systematically assigns wireless transmission settings to different intervals of data unit transmission to the given station to periodically evaluate a performance for each combination of wireless transmission setting values, the assignment causing settings associated with enhanced performance to be employed with an increased probability or duration.

    Abstract: A first transceiver communicates with a first station in a first network according to a first symbol alignment and includes a detection circuit and a precoding determination circuit. The detection circuit detects a signal in a second network from a second transceiver to a second station in the second network via receive chains, coverage areas of the first and second networks overlapping, and determines a second symbol alignment of the signal based on a preamble of the signal in the second network. The precoding determination circuit is coupled to transmit chains, determines a precoding matrix that creates a null in a location of the second station, and determines the first symbol alignment, which is synchronized with the second symbol alignment. The transmit chains pre-code a signal in the first network using the precoding matrix and align symbols of the signal in the first network according to the first symbol alignment.

    Abstract: Example operations may include obtaining a first received signal of a first wireless transmission by a transmitting device of a wireless signal received at a receiving device. The operations may also include obtaining a second received signal of a second wireless transmission by the transmitting device that is a retransmission of the wireless signal also received at the receiving device. The operations may further include determining, based on the first received signal and the second received signal, an equalization of distortion of propagation of the wireless signal between the transmitting device and the receiving device. In addition, the operations may include generating an equalized signal based on the determined signal equalization, wherein the equalized signal is an estimate of the wireless signal as transmitted by the transmitting device.
