Abstract: An electronic communication device and method for communication including automatically selecting, composing, and/or presenting a number of proposed responses to a message is disclosed. The device can present the incoming message content to the user together with an alert to the user that one or more proposed responses are available for review and selection. The device can calculate a confidence metric for each proposed response. The user alert and/or presentation of the messages can be made to vary in intensity in accordance with the confidence metric of the one or more proposed responses. The presentation of the proposed responses can be alternated and/or combined with a method for the device to receive user input to the content of the proposed response. The user can edit a proposed response rather than composing a complete response.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for providing cross device messaging and enhanced synchronization of messages. In some configurations, an endpoint computing device can receive input of a mobile operator message. The endpoint computing device can process the message, and send a signal with the message to a relay computing device for delivery to a recipient computing device. In some configurations, the signal with the message may be sent to the relay device via a reference user profile in a distributed service platform (e.g., the Cloud). The endpoint computing device can send the signal with the message to a single relay computing device, or to multiple relay computing devices, for delivery. In some configurations, the endpoint computing device can send the signal with the message to a first relay device, which can then send the signal with the message to a second relay device for delivery to a recipient device.

Abstract: Example telephones and methods decouple acquiring and presenting visual representations of menu systems associated with interactive voice response (IVR) systems from a user experience interaction with the IVR system. IVRs with which a user is likely to interact are identified and data about those IVRs is acquired at a time other than a user experience telephone call. The time when data is acquired may depend on a state of the telephone, user, or environment. When a call to the IVR is made, data about the IVR is already on the telephone, therefore communication with an omnibus database that stores information about many IVR systems is not required, which improves the efficiency of telephone calls made to IVRs. Menus can be displayed on and user inputs received from the telephone while or even before the outgoing call to the IVR is established, reducing the time required to interact with IVRs.

Abstract: Representative embodiments disclose intelligent help systems that monitor user interactions through email, digital assistants, and other applications and recognize when a user can utilize the help of an expert with a task. The system detects user intent and a category of problem from the interactions (i.e., email communications, etc.) and searches a database of user profiles to find experts with the proper expertise to help the user with the category of problem. User intent can be detected by parsing communications, extracting features from the communications, and using the extracted features to identify intent, such as through matching or machine learning. A social score and an expertise score are calculated for expert profiles from the database. The social score is based on a degree of separation and expert and the expertise score is based on a level of expertise. Experts and areas of commonality are presented to the user.

Abstract: A mobile device may create a message rule to establish a causal relationship between a messaging activity and a device activity or vice versa. A message rule user interface displayed on the mobile device may receive from a user a message parameter, describing at least one of a message format and a message content of a hypothetical received mobile message. The message rule user interface also may receive a response action directive describing a device action to be performed by the mobile device in response to receiving an incoming mobile message corresponding to the message parameter. The mobile device may store a message target rule associating the message parameter with the response action directive. The mobile device may receive the incoming mobile message corresponding to the message parameter and execute the device action according to the response action directive.
