Abstract: A display device including a display; an interface unit configured to receive a request from a remote controller; and a controller configured to in response to a first request received from the remote controller, display a list of previously-viewed content including at least a first item corresponding to a first previously-viewed content, a second item corresponding to a second previously-viewed content and a third item corresponding a third previously-viewed content, wherein the first item, the second item, and the third item are displayed in an order that has been previously viewed, in response to a second request received from the remote controller, display a fourth content on the display, in response to a third request from the remote controller to display the list of previously-viewed content, delete the first item in the list of previously-viewed content and display the list of previously-viewed content including the second item, the third item and a fourth item corresponding to the fourth displayed content, in response to a fourth request received from the remote controller, display a fifth content on the display, and in response to a fifth request from the remote controller to display the list of previously-viewed content, delete the second item in the list of previously-viewed content and display the list of previously-viewed content including the third item, the fourth item and a fifth item corresponding to the fifth displayed content.

The method includes: playing contents; determining whether the contents are played over a predetermined time; when the contents are played over the predetermined time, storing information on the contents in a previously-viewed-contents list; and once a request signal for displaying the previously-viewed-contents list occurs, displaying the previously-viewed-contents list.

Abstract: A display device including a display; a first external input unit configured to receive first content provided from a first external device; a second external input unit configured to receive second content from a second external device; and a controller configured to store, in a memory, a first thumbnail of the first content if the first content is displayed on the display for more than a predetermined time, to store, in the memory, a second thumbnail of the second content if the second content is displayed on the display for more than the predetermined time, and to display, on the display, a source list with the stored first thumbnail of the first content. Further, the source list represents the first and second external devices.
