Abstract:
A method for controlling paper conveyance of an electrophotographic reproduction device which receives data to be printed from an external device through a data transmission medium comprises the steps of conveying a paper to a paper registration position upon initial reception of input data to be printed transmitted through a data transmission medium and conveying the paper to a transfer unit in the electrophotographic reproduction device for enabling received data to be printed on the registered paper when the received data reaches a set unit amount of data.
Abstract:
In a method and arrangement for restoring a ROM BIOS which is damaged due to electric impact or noise in peripheral equipment supporting an external host computer, a CPU detects and restores the damaged ROM BIOS using a ROM BIOS image already compressed and stored in a flash memory. Therefore, even if the ROM BIOS in the flash memory is damaged, a user need not download the ROM BIOS image.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for broadcast printing via a network are provided. The method and apparatus comprise managing an address list of the clients; determining whether the broadcast printing of data for printing is required; generating a packet including addresses of the clients included in the list if the broadcast printing of the data is determined to be required; transmitting the data to the clients by using the generated packet; and respectively instructing the clients to print the data. Accordingly, since the broadcast printing does not use a group managing protocol, operations for group management and for setting data transmission routes are not required. Moreover, overloads due to data transmission in the network are prevented and data is quickly transmitted.

Abstract:
A method of compensating for a paper feed error through automatically reperforming operations to pick up printing paper when the paper feed error occurs includes the steps of: (a) driving a pickup roller, picking up printing paper stacked in a paper cassette, and then, feeding the picked up printing paper to an image forming unit; (b) after picking up the printing paper in step (a), checking to determine whether or not the printing paper has been fed to the image forming unit; and, (c) when it has been determined in step (b) that the printing paper has not been fed and a paper feed error has been generated, again driving the pickup roller, so as to attempt to pick up the printing paper stacked in the paper cassette again.
