    Abstract: A machine tool includes one tip arranged on the spindle at a position that faces the table, a cutting edge position storing unit that stores therein multiple measured values that are obtained by performing measurement of the position of the tip at least two times in a state where the spindle is set at at least one phase and the tip is positioned at an identical point, a spindle tilt angle calculating unit that calculates a tilt angle of the spindle with respect to an XY-plane, based on the multiple measured values, and a coordinate system rotation unit that rotates the XY-plane about at least one of X-axis and Y-axis, based on the tilt angle of the spindle calculated by the spindle tilt angle calculating unit.

    Abstract: The controller for a machine tool according to the present invention makes it possible to discharge both a coolant and an oil mist from a through hole provided in the tool equipped to a main axis of a machine tool, allows a processing program to instruct the discharge of either the coolant or the oil mist, and carries out such a control that a state where the above-described tool is detached from the main axis is maintained during a predetermined period of time at the time of replacing the tool, and at the same time, the oil mist is discharged from the above-described oil mist unit so as to remove the coolant from the above-described piping during the predetermined period of time.

    Abstract: According to an instruction of opening or closing a block plate from a controller, a first solenoid valve and a second solenoid valve supply compressed air supplied from an air source to an air cylinder to operate a block in a uniaxial direction. The block plate is attached to the block, and the block plate operates similarly to the block in response to the operation of the block. In other words, by the opening or closing operation of the block plate, a state can be switched between a state in which a machining area can be seen through a viewing window, which is attached to a splash guard (or an opening/closing door) of the machine tool, and a state in which the machining area cannot be seen through the viewing window.

    Abstract: Prior to machining a workpiece, a warm-up control device for a machine tool is activated to perform a warm-up in which a main shaft rotary drive part and axes drive parts are driven. The amount of displacement of heat that is generated upon starting of the warm-up and changes with time is calculated every predetermined time period. Whether to end the warm-up is determined based on the thermal displacement amount. Whether to restart the warm-up after the end of the warm-up is determined based on the thermal displacement amount. When it is determined to restart the warm-up, the warm-up is restarted.
