    Abstract: In a solar concentrator of a type having a curved mirror adapted to focus light onto an energy collecting body mounted at the mirror's focal axis, an alignment correction apparatus and method includes a linear array of light detectors adapted to be mounted at a bottom of and across a centerline of the curved mirror so as to intercept the shadow cast by the energy collecting body mounted along the focal axis. Outputs of each of the detectors are measured and plotted according to an order of arrangement of the light detectors on the array. The output results in a dip across adjacent detectors when a shadow falls across the array. A shadow detection means is adapted to determine a center point of the dip and correction means are configured to output a correction command if the center point is different from an optimal position.

    Abstract: A data interleaving device is provided that includes an input, an output, and a data interleaver coupled to the input and the output. The input receives data originating from a plurality of processing blocks. The output transfers interleaved data to the plurality of processing blocks. The data interleaver includes a controller, at least one interconnection module, and a plurality of memories. The controller prepares a data-to-memory assignment data structure. The at least one interconnection module switches data in parallel according to the data-to-memory assignment data structure and acts identically on all data switched simultaneously in parallel.     Abstract: A die for a thermal drop-on-demand fluid-ejection device includes thermal firing resistors, low-side switches, and high-side switches. The thermal firing resistors are organized over resistor groups such that each thermal firing resistor is located within only one of the resistor groups.     Abstract: A return label and tracking system is disclosed. The label of the present invention is a multi-layer label having a backing, a middle layer shipping label, and a top layer. The backing is pealed away to expose a permanent adhesive to affix the label to a box. The top layer is removably adhered to the shipping label. When a customer is ready to ship back an item, such as a depleted toner cartridge, for recycling or repair, the top layer can be removed to expose the shipping label, and the box can be shipped via a courier service or mail service. The shipping label is a variable label. The tracking system enables the receiver to determine which customer sent the item by having a record of which shipping labels were assigned to which customers. Thus, the customer can be credited for items returned.
