Abstract: System/methods of Carrier Aggregation are disclosed. According to some embodiments, a system/method comprises a first transmitter and a second transmitter, that are connected therebetween, and configured to perform operations comprising: wirelessly transmitting to a destination device first data via the first transmitter, using frequencies that are allocated for use by cellular communications; and, responsive to a size of data that is to be transmitted to the destination device and responsive to a distance between the destination device and the second transmitter, wirelessly transmitting to the destination device second data via the second transmitter, using frequencies that are allocated for use by cellular communications; wherein, according to some embodiments, the first transmitter uses a first air interface and the second transmitter uses a second air interface that comprises a variant of the first air interface.

Abstract: Systems/methods are disclosed wherein a transmitter is used to convey information to a destination device by wirelessly transmitting using first frequencies; and, responsive to a size of data that is to be transmitted, wirelessly transmitting using second frequencies; wherein at least some of the second frequencies differ from the first frequencies. In some embodiments, the transmitter comprises first and second transmitters that convey information to the destination device by wirelessly transmitting by the first transmitter first data using first frequencies and, responsive to the size of data to be transmitted, wirelessly transmitting by the second transmitter second data using second frequencies. According to some embodiments, the first and second data are transmitted simultaneously in time. According to further embodiments, a smartphone comprises the transmitter or the first and second transmitters. According to additional embodiments, a base station comprises the transmitter or the first and second transmitters.

Abstract: Inventive concepts and embodiments associated therewith are provided wherein a first device may solicit a processing capability from at least one second device that may be proximate to the first device. Abstract: Systems and/or methods are disclosed of improving vehicular safety by acquiring data from a transceiver responsive to one or more signals that are received at the transceiver from one or more devices. The transceiver may be in a motor vehicle, and the one or more devices may include a base station and/or another transceiver of another motor vehicle. In some embodiments, the transceiver may transmit a signal responsive to having received a first signal from a first device, and the signal that is transmitted by the transceiver may cause a second device to transmit a second signal. Moreover, the transceiver may transmit data responsive to having received the second signal that is transmitted by the second device. In some embodiments, the transceiver may receive a signal from a first device, receive a signal from a second device, and transmit data responsive to having received both of the signals.

Abstract: Inventive concepts and embodiments associated therewith are provided wherein an auxiliary device, that is attached to a person, is configured to function in cooperation with a destination device that is on the person. In some embodiments, the auxiliary device is uniquely associated with specific information that is to be conveyed to the destination device following reception of a signal by the auxiliary device. Embodiments are disclosed wherein, following reception of the signal by the auxiliary device, the auxiliary device processes the signal and then conveys the specific information that is uniquely associated therewith to the destination device without direct human interaction with the auxiliary device. In some embodiments, the auxiliary device comprises a personal wearable device and the destination device comprises a smartphone.
