Abstract:
An image display apparatus which is capable of operating smoothly over a plurality of image display devices. When a pen has come into continuous contact with a first display screen, a system controller determines whether or not the pen has got out of contact with an edge of the first display screen. When the system controller determines that the pen has got out of contact with the first display screen at the edge thereof, a time period elapsed is measured while the pen is held out of contact with the first display screen at the edge thereof. When the measured time period is less than a predetermined time period, the system controller outputs pointing information indicative of a position of the edge of the first display screen with which the pen got out of contact, to indicate that the pen has been held in the continuous contact with the first display screen.

An intermediate transfer device includes an intermediate transfer member, intermediate transfer member support members, and two frame members each including first and second positioning members each having a positioning portion. At least one of the frame members satisfies a condition L1:L2=2.85:x 0≦x≦1, where L1 is the length of a line segment connecting an intersection point to the positioning portion of one of the positioning members on a side opposite to a side toward which a line of action of a force applied by a second-transfer unit is inclined and L2 is the length of a line segment connecting the intersection point to the positioning portion of the other of the positioning members on the side toward which the line of action is inclined, the intersection point being an intersection of the line of action and a line segment connecting the positioning portions.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit that forms an image to be formed on a recording medium. The image formed by the image forming unit has a size larger than a size of the recording medium that is transported, the image forming unit causing the image to adhere to the entire area of the recording medium. A width of the image in a direction substantially orthogonal to a transporting direction of the recording medium increases from a front end toward a rear end of the recording medium in the transporting direction of the recording medium.
Abstract:
A display device that receives an input of video signal data including a plurality of pieces of frame data, corrects frame data representing a frame to be displayed based on frame data of a frame adjacent to the frame to be displayed, and outputs the resulting data as data to be displayed on a liquid crystal panel. The device comprises a memory unit adapted to store input frame data. The device determines a correction address used to determine a frame correction amount by comparing the stored frame data and frame data that is currently input; determines correction data that represents a correction amount of the frame data based on the stored frame data and the correction address; and corrects the frame data by adding and/or subtracting the correction amount represented by the correction data to or from the stored frame data.
Abstract:
An image-forming apparatus including: an image-forming unit disposed so as to be detachably attached to an apparatus body; at least one sheet supply unit disposed at a lower portion of the apparatus body so as to be located below the image-forming unit for supplying a sheet, and including a sheet tray detachably attached to a body of the sheet supply unit; and a sheet carrying system including a sheet carrying path extending vertically so that the sheet supplied from the sheet supply unit is carried to an image-forming region of the image-forming unit and then ejected, wherein a spatial portion communicating with the openings at a top and bottom portions of the apparatus body and facing at least one part of the sheet carrying path is formed when the image-forming unit and the sheet tray of each sheet supply unit are detached from the apparatus body.

Abstract:
In a semiconductor apparatus comprises a signal input portion having an amplifying circuit including one, two or more insulating gate type transistors (MIS Tr), one MIS Tr or at least one (M1) of the two or more MIS Trs of the signal input portion is an MIS Tr of one conductivity channel type. The MIS Tr (M1) of the one conductivity channel type is formed in a semiconductor region which is electrically isolated from the other MIS Tr (M3) of one conductivity channel type provided for a circuit portion other than the signal input portion, so that an input threshold level of the signal amplifying circuit is made coincide with a DC level of the input signal, thereby preventing an erroneous operation.
Abstract:
A drive includes a driving shaft that includes a distal end portion having a screw hole at a distal end and being inserted into a hollow portion from a first end of a driving roller in a rotation-axis direction, and that transmits a rotational driving force to the driving roller through a fit portion; a spring washer arranged at a second end of the driving roller opposite to the first end in the rotation-axis direction; and a screw rod that has an external thread which is screwed into the screw hole, that is inserted into the spring washer and inserted into the hollow portion from the second end, and that pinches the driving roller between the screw rod and the fit portion of the driving shaft in the rotation-axis direction through the spring washer when the external thread is screwed into the screw hole.
