Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving, at a broadcast image processor, from a single broadcast event, a plurality of camera feeds, wherein the camera feeds each comprise an image of the single broadcast event from a different angle, providing, by the broadcast image processor, a summary of the plurality of camera feeds to a media processor, receiving, by the broadcast image processor, a request to select a requested angle from among the plurality of camera feeds from the media processor, and creating, by the broadcast image processor, a custom view from the plurality of camera feeds according to the request for the media processor. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a server performing operations including receiving a list of media content items; the media content items have a priority order according to a number of communication devices of network subscribers in a region predicted to request the respective media content items and a predicted location of the communication devices. The operations also include monitoring network traffic to predict a period of decreased network load, and scheduling copying of the media content items from a content server to a caching proxy located in the region; the copying is scheduled to be performed during the predicted period of decreased network load and in accordance with the priority order. The operations further include receiving from the caching proxy a report including the media content items stored at the caching proxy and an amount of storage remaining at the caching proxy. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Improved network event tagging for mobile communications is described herein. By way of example, a mobile network can be configured to take periodic geographic positions of a mobile terminal operating within the mobile network. Network events occurring between the periodic geographic positions, otherwise partially unknown in position, can be estimated by referencing topographical information and estimating a route of travel of the mobile device. Estimated speed of the mobile device can be utilized to place the mobile device on a road network, cycling route, pedestrian walkway, or the like, and refine the estimated position of the mobile device at the time of the network event. Such estimates can be refined from traffic information or other real-time travel data. An estimated position of the mobile device can be output as an approximation of the network event to facilitate event modeling for the mobile network.

Abstract: More efficient mobile device location data can be obtained by estimating a most likely location point in a coverage pattern using a kernel density estimation technique. The kernel density estimation technique can provide a continuous estimate of the most frequented locations of a mobile device(s) within a coverage area. For each wireless sector, the collected location data can grouped to the closest geographic coordinate system, and an inference can be made based on the grouped data.

The processor may be further configured to cause the memory device to store the data file in response to determining that the threshold is satisfied.

Abstract: A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may perform, for example, generating parental control information for each of a plurality of users according to options selected from a plurality of media program tags retrieved from a library, detecting a first user of the plurality of users according to biometric information of the first user, identifying the parental control information associated with the first user, tuning to a first media channel responsive to receiving a first request, receiving in the first media channel a first media program tag associated with a first media program, and enabling presentation of the first media program at a presentation device responsive to detecting from the parental control information associated with the first user that the first media program tag is included in a first list of unrestricted media program presentations.
