There are systems and methods for detour segments for patterns for bus routes to be performed by a transit vehicle as part of a schedule for a day, responsive to an interruption on the pattern, the system comprising a scheduling server, configured to receive an interruption for a pattern, determine a detour segment starting point and a detour segment ending point, check a detour segment database for an existing detour segment having the detour segment starting point and the detour segment ending point and if the checking returns an existing detour segment then apply the detour segment to the pattern, according to the detour segment parameters, to create a detoured schedule.

A system and method for identifying at least two transport units in coupled relationship forming a consist including determining via the presence of an electrical signal whether one end of a coupling unit at an end of a first transport unit is coupled to a second end of said coupling unit at an end of a second transport unit; determining by computer executable instructions executed by a computer processor a transport unit in closest proximity to said first transport unit; upon a condition in which said one end of said coupling unit is determined to be coupled to a second end of said coupling unit, identifying by said computer processor said second transport unit as said transport unit in closest proximity to said first transport unit.

There is a system for secure use of a wheelchair in demand response transportation systems comprising a wheelchair restraint comprising a central housing disposed between a vehicle strap and a wheelchair strap, the vehicle strap to secure the wheelchair restraint to the demand response vehicle, further comprising a vehicle strap sensor configured to provide a vehicle strap sensor electrical signal indicating whether the vehicle strap is securely affixed to a wheelchair anchor of a demand response vehicle, the wheelchair strap to secure the wheelchair restraint to the wheelchair, further comprising a wheelchair strap sensor configured to provide a wheelchair strap sensor signal indicating whether the wheelchair strap is securely connected to a wheelchair via the wheelchair strap.

Systems for heads-up display of transit industry vehicle information is provided. Information originating from various transit agency systems and arriving at transit industry vehicles may be selectively displayed on a heads-up display. Control and configuration of the information displayed on a heads-up display may be determined by a transit agency and may relate to data displayed on on-board mobile data terminals.

The systems comprise one or more gateways, configured to create chatter in one or more gateway transmission ranges, a tag, located on an asset and operable in a plurality of states, configured to identify the presence of chatter in a tag reception range, and if chatter is identified by the tag, created by a chatter creating gateway that is one of the one or more gateways, then the tag enters a chatter present state.
Abstract:
There are systems and methods for secure cashbox removal from a transit vehicle and emptying in a vault at a transit site. The cashbox is removably attached to a transit vehicle driven by a transit operator and can be taken to a vault to deposit the cash located in the cashbox. The cashbox has a cashbox tag configured to broadcast a cashbox tag present signal that is received within secure zones and alarm zones, and communicated to a monitoring system to ensure that no cashbox rules are violated in getting the cashbox to the vault for emptying.

The present invention relates to a system and method for analyzing performance data in a transit organization. Accelerometer metrics are collected for a vehicle along a first axis. The metrics collected from the vehicle are summarized by unit measurement. The metrics summarized by unit measurement are then stored in storage.

Further, content may be developed and published to various transit data sinks from a single dashboard.

A method and system for power consumption management for moveable assets is provided. Various states and modes are defined, in which elements of the system may operate, each state and mode having different power requirements based on different operational requirements and communication paradigms. Various triggers may indicate which state and mode to be in, with the lowest power consumption operating status being selected whenever possible based on the triggers.
