Abstract:
A contact material which provides improved wear resistance as well as reduced adhesion utilizing the features of an intermetallic compound having an ordered phase, with the intention of (i) improving the seizure resistance and/or wear resistance of an implement bearing which slides under low-speed, high-surface-pressure conditions and is susceptible to lubricant starvation; (ii) preventing abnormal noises; and (iii) achieving prolonged greasing intervals. The contact material contains 10% by volume or more a metallic alloy phase having such a composition range that causes an order-disorder transition. The metallic alloy phase is a Fe base alloy phase containing one or more elements selected from the group consisting of Al, Si, Co and Ni.
Abstract:
A winding apparatus for removing a used stencil in a printing machine having a stencil lift-off mechanism for lifting the leading end of the used stencil from a printing drum assembly and transporting mechanism for transporting the used stencil onto the winding apparatus, the winding apparatus comprises a generally cylindrical floating core for taking up the used stencil therearound, a support mechanism for rotatably supporting the core in contact directly therewith or through the used stencil when the core is at least partially wound with the used stencil, and a drive mechanism for rotating the core about the longitudinal axis thereof at a speed synchronized with the speed of transport of the used stencil.
Abstract:
A fluid heating apparatus in which a heating unit (2) and a fluid supply adjusting unit (3) are accommodated in a casing in a manner separated from each other and connected through a flow-in tube (8) and a flow-out tube (9) and the fluid supply adjusting unit (3) is arranged vertically upward and downward on the side of the heating unit (2).
Abstract:
A radiative-type air-conditioning unit capable of being freely moved to and set in different positions, and used to deal with the problems concerning the unevenly distributed heat loads in a closed office in which a plurality of office automation (OA) machines are installed. This radiation air-conditioner consists of a radiation endothermic/radiating plate including a radiation generating surface (21) formed on one side surface of a panel (20), a plurality of thermoelectric elements (22) attached to the other side surface of the panel (20), and a plurality of heat exchanger means (25) attached to the other surfaces of these thermoelectric elements (22). Accordingly, noise does not occur in this radiation air-conditioner, and maintenance work therefor is substantially not required. Since this radiation air-conditioner can be installed in a small space owing to its small weight and thickness and compact structure, it is used very extensively.
Abstract:
A partition type radiation local air conditioning unit is used in the field of air conditioning equipment and of office furniture. The unit is intended to make it possible to provide a better feeling of coolness by combining radiation cooling with convection cooling and to diminish the size of the air conditioning unit, which is in the form of a partition unit (1). This partition unit (1) includes a crossflow fan (4h) for blowing out breeze, an air inlet (4ha), and a breeze outlet (4hb), which are so arranged that the breeze (41) from the breeze outlet (4hb) is blown against the face of a person sitting in front of the unit. A baffle plate (9) can be provided in the air passage (7) between the crossflow fan (3) for heat-dissipating-air blowing and the radiation fins (2b) of thermoelectric elements (2a), the baffle plate (9) dividing this air passage (7) into a heat-dissipating-air passage (71) and a breeze air passage (72). Further, a breeze outlet (4b2) communicating with the breeze passage (72) can be provided immediately below the cooling plate (2). This arrangement helps to make a person sitting in front of the partition unit get a better feeling of coolness than from conventional air conditioning units of this type and to diminish the size of the partition unit (1).
Abstract:
An illegal-sheet-material detecting apparatus, which is adapted to detect whether the property of each of the passing sheet materials is legal or not in a sheet manufacturing machine, provided with a comparison circuit for detecting the lag of the same detection value of the n th+ first sheet material with respect to the detection value showing the property such as thickness, size or the like of the optional portion of the n th sheet material memorized in the memory circuit as an electric signal. When the lag detected by the comparison circuit has exceeded a predetermined range, the counting operation of the sheet material is caused to stop thereby to use the detection value of the n th sheet material as a reference value for comparing it with the n th+ first sheet detection value.
Abstract:
A combined chair and bed which can be utilized selectively as a chair and a bed comprises a frame assembly, a seat assembly including a back rest, a leg support and a seat hinged at one side edge to the back rest and at the opposite side edge to the leg support, and at least one link mechanism operable to set the combined chair and bed in selective one of chair and bed modes. While the seat assembly is mounted on the frame assembly through the link mechanism, the link mechanism comprises a fulcrum about which the back rest pivots accompanied by an angular movement of the hinge between the back rest and the seat about the same fulcrum, thereby shifting the seat selectively upwardly and downwardly depending upon the direction of the pivotal movement of the back rest and a pair of links which, when the back rest is moved to the laid-down position, are erected to support the seat in flush with any one of the back rest and the leg support. A transmission system for transmitting the movement of the back rest to the leg support is also included.
