Abstract:
Method in which a component image associated with a primary color of green hue is processed in a suitable manner to reduce the spatial frequencies corresponding to the transition zones in this component image and in which a plurality of component images including the processed component image are successively displayed. Thanks to the invention, the color break-up defects are noticeably reduced. The invention applies especially to anti-piracy image display methods.
Abstract:
Method to display an image using four or more primaries having different spectral distributions that are distributed into three groups of primaries, wherein, in a visual color space, all primaries belonging to the same group have the same visual color and are metamehc. Each image being got from a combination of three primary images and each primary image being associated with each visual color of a group, the different primaries of each group are spatially or sequentially distributed over the primary image associated with this group, then allowing an efficient anti-copy protection based on metamerization of images, without any supplemental video processing.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for combating the copying of source pictures by means of a camera while they are being displayed, for example using a camcorder in a movie theatre. To this end, it is known, in classical projection systems, to modulate by a carrier wave the brightness of some pixels of the pictures. The frequency of the carrier wave is usually constant and generally half the refresh frequency. The main problem with such systems is that once a pirate has figured out what the modulation frequency is, he can configure his camcorder shutter to filter out this frequency and bypass the anti-camcorder method. According to the invention, the frequency of the carrier is changed at least once throughout the displaying of the sequence pictures or the movie, to defeat all camcorders standards (PAL/NTSC) and shutter configurations.

Abstract:
The spatial frequency analysis contained in the compressed image is used not only for decompression of images but also for the selection of an appropriate gamut mapping algorithm. Computation resources are then saved because no specific spatial frequency analysis is required for the selection of an appropriate gamut mapping algorithm.
Abstract:
A method for characterizing a colour reproduction device. A first output colour measure responding to a first reference input colour value is measured under normal measurement conditions. The measurement conditions are modified and a second output colour measure responding to the first reference input colour value is measured under the modified measurement conditions. A transformation rule, enabling transformation between the second output colour measure and the first output colour measure, is calculated from the first colour value and the second colour value. A first set of output colour measures responding to a set of input colour values is measured under modified measurement conditions, and the first set of output colour measures is converted, using the transformation rule, to a second set of output colour measures. A system and a control device are also provided.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an image display device with active matrix comprising a number of light emitters forming a network divided into rows and columns; a current modulator for each emitter; and at least one inverse bias voltage generator. This device is characterized in that it also comprises: an inverse bias switch for each emitter, said inverse bias switch being connected, on the one hand, to each modulator and, on the other hand, to the or each inverse bias voltage generator; and control electrodes able to drive all the inverse bias switches of a row of emitters. The invention also relates to a method of driving this device.
Abstract:
A method to display images using four or more different primaries having different spectral distributions wherein, in the LMS color space, at least two of these primaries have the same L coordinates and the same M coordinates; thank to the invention, different metamers, when being legally displayed, will be not only perceptually indistinguishable to a viewer with normal color vision but also indistinguishable by most of the viewers with non-normal color vision.

Abstract:
Method of displaying images on a projection screen in front of a place for an audience, by using different visually-equivalent metameric colors for different portions of images, and by simultaneously illuminating said place for the audience with perturbing infrared radiations and by simultaneously detecting any image capture device in the place for the audience, wherein: the different metameric colors that are visually-equivalent have different spectral wavelength distributions at least in the red region of wavelengths, detection is performed through the perturbing infrared radiations that are reflected by any object in the place for the audience. Such a system seems impossible to circumvent by pirates using camcorders.
