Abstract:
A method for automatically creating spine image areas for book covers that were originally created for books without spines includes adding image areas between the front and back cover images to make a single image with the spine being a user-specified solid color or bitmap image.
Abstract:
A method receives a user login from a user. The method grants, to the user, access to a user account of the user maintained by a computerized document management system based on the user login. The computerized document management system is accessible to a plurality of users. The method receives a request from the user to provide a requested document and the method determines whether the requested document should be password protected. If the requested document should be password protected, the method generates a unique password for the requested document. The unique password is unique to the user and is based upon information contained within the user account by the computerized document management system. Again, if the requested document should be password protected, the method adds the unique password to the requested document to generate a password-protected document and sends the password-protected document to the first user.
Abstract:
A method and system receives a first data feed from at least one third-party computerized device by way of a computerized network connected to the customer computerized device. This first data feed is displayed through the display item. The graphic user interface receives customer interaction information when the customer interacts with the display item. The method transmits such customer interaction information to the third-party computerized device by way of the customer computerized network. The customer computerized device then receives a second data feed from the third-party computerized device by way of the computerized network. The second data feed is different than the first data feed and the second data feed is based on the customer interaction information and/or the group usage statistics.

A method for automatically creating spine image areas for book covers that were originally created for books without spines includes adding image areas between the front and back cover images to make a single image with the spine being a user-specified solid color or bitmap image. Alternatively, depending on user selection and cover design, the existing image is stretched anamorphically to accommodate a correctly sized spine. The user can optionally specify text to be added.
Abstract:
A method of storing and retrieving a customized interface control from a user display. The user display includes an array of pathway buttons and is interconnected to plural devices on a network. The method includes displaying and activating a job programming button to display programming options including save and save as options, engaging the save option to store the customized interface control in a general saved interface control category or store the customized interface control under a user defined reference. Included are techniques for expanding the features of selected machines on the network and creating selected multi-function operations not previously available.
Abstract:
A method for a sender to automatically distribute information to a receiver on a network using devices (such as printers and facsimile machines) and communication channels (such as electronic mail) defined in a receiver profile. The receiver profile establishes the properties and mode for receipt of information for receivers on the network and the profile is published in a network repository for all network users or is accessible by selected groups or individuals on the network. Receivers have additional control over network senders by defining an information filter which further controls sender channel access (to a receiver) by defining some channels as having priority of access such as direct or delayed access, as well as selectively permitting senders to override the receiver profile. Consequently, receiver profiles provide a variable receiver definable link to senders using multiple forms of media as well as multiple hardware platforms and network configurations.

Abstract:
According to aspects illustrated herein, there is provided a method, system, and computing device for identifying bugs in a software application. The method provides for hosting the software application on a cloud server and providing the software application to a group of users and monitors usage of the software application. Next, new usage patterns are identified by identifying current usage patterns based on the monitoring are identified and comparing the current usage patterns to stored usage patterns. After that, bugs are identified by: 1) automatically generating a set of new test matrices based on the new usage patterns; 2) automatically running the set of new test matrices on the software application, while the software application is being used; 3) recording error messages generated; and 4) correlating the error messages with the new usage patterns to identify the bugs. Then, a reporting message is generated to report the identified bugs.
Abstract:
A printing system in which one or more clients communicate with a plurality of printers by way of a print server, whose architecture is characterized by a plurality of layers, is provided. In practice, one of the plurality of layers receives a request from one of the one or more clients and the request designates an operation to be performed with respect to one of the plurality of printers. The printing system includes an application layer, communicating with the one of the plurality of layers, for developing a command expression based on the request received by the one or the plurality of layers, and a communications interface including a first connectivity module and a second connectivity module, with the first connectivity module communicating with a first one of the plurality of printers and the second connectivity module communicating with a second one of the plurality of printers. The printing system further includes a routing interface, communicating with both the application layer and the communications interface, for directing the command expression to a selected one of the first connectivity module and the second connectivity module. Accordingly, the selected one of the first and second connectivity modules uses the command expression to perform at least a part of the designated operation with respect to the one or the plurality of printers.
