Abstract: A notch filter is controlled synchronously with a chopper to filter out chopping ripple. In one embodiment, the notch filter is coupled to the differential output of the chopper and includes a sampling capacitor, a hold capacitor, and a second set of switches between the sampling capacitor and the hold capacitor. The second set of switches is temporarily closed once per chopper switching cycle to transfer charge from the sampling capacitor to the hold capacitor such that the ripple from the chopper is not transferred to the hold capacitor. The voltage across the hold capacitor may be coupled to any other circuit, such as to the differential inputs of an amplifier.

Abstract: A network manager of a wireless mesh network is configured to selectively enable or disable communication services provided between devices over the network. The selective enabling or disabling of services may be based on the monitoring and enforcement of license terms set according to license information embedded within the wireless network node(s) or access point(s) of the network. In operation, the network manager retrieves the license information from the node(s) and/or access point(s) of the network, and establishes license terms based on the retrieved license information. In turn, the network manager selectively enables or disables network services, such as by throttling communications relayed between the user application and the nodes, or between nodes, if the license terms are not respected.

Abstract: A power interface device includes a main switching converter, an auxiliary switching converter, a feedback sense circuit, an error amplifier, a high pass filter, a transient detection circuit, and an auxiliary control circuit. The transient detection circuit is configured to receive the higher frequency component of the transient signal and output an enable signal when the higher frequency component of the transient signal falls outside of an operating window range defined by a first threshold and a second threshold and output a disable signal when the higher frequency component of the transient signal stays within the operating window range. The auxiliary control circuit configured to activate the auxiliary switching converter in accordance with the enable signal and to deactivate the auxiliary switching converter in accordance with the disable signal.

Abstract: A wireless mesh network is provided with equipment and methods for monitoring and enforcement of license terms. The network includes a plurality of wireless network nodes, a wireless access point, and a network manager in communication with the access point and with the network nodes via the access point. At least one of the network nodes and the access point includes license information embedded in the device hardware, and the network manager provides services to the wireless network subject to license terms determined based on the license information embedded within the network node or access point. Additionally, the network manager is in communication with a user application external to the network, and relays communication between the user application and the wireless network. The network manager modulates communications relayed between the user application and the wireless network subject to the license information embedded within the network node or access point.

Abstract: Methods and systems of controlling a switched capacitor converter are provided. Upon determining that a voltage across a flying capacitor is above a first threshold, a first current is drawn from a first terminal of the flying capacitor by a first current source, and a second current is provided to a second terminal of the flying capacitor by a second current source. Upon determining that the voltage across the flying capacitor is below a second threshold, the first current is provided to the first terminal of the flying capacitor by the first current source, and the second current is drawn from the second terminal of the flying capacitor by the second current source. Upon determining that the voltage across the flying capacitor is above the second threshold and below the first threshold from the reference voltage, the first and second current sources are turned OFF.

Abstract: A switched capacitor converter includes a primary switching circuit, a flying capacitor circuit, and a secondary switching circuit. The primary switching circuit includes plurality of switching transistors in series. The flying capacitor circuit includes one or more flying capacitors with each flying capacitor connected to a switching transistor. The secondary switching circuit includes two or more switching transistors and provides a first path for charging and a second path for discharging the flying capacitors. At startup, the flying capacitors are discharged via a first current source while the switching transistors are turned off. After discharging, the flying capacitors are charged via a second current source, while a first switching transistor of the primary switching circuit is kept turned off and the rest of the switching transistors perform switching according to a switching cycle. After charging, the switched capacitor converter may enter a steady state operation.
