Abstract: A power receiver is provided herein. The power receiver provides in-band communication with a power transmitter. The power receiver recognizes a change in frequency that identifies a training sequence and determines an impulse response with respect to the training sequence. The power receiver also cancels an effect of the impulse response during the in-band communication.

Abstract: An inductive power outlet is disclosed. The inductive power outlet has a primary inductor, for wirelessly powering an inductive power receiver. The inductive power outlet has a secondary inductor. The primary inductor and the secondary inductor form a resonant frequency. The inductive power outlet comprises a driver generating an oscillating voltage to the primary coil at a frequency higher than the resonant frequency. The inductive power outlet comprises a signal detector. The signal detector comprises a peak detector configured to detect voltage peaks across the primary inductor or current peaks of a current supplied to the primary inductor. The signal detector comprises a processor configured to determine a frequency of either the voltage peaks or the current peaks.

Abstract: A transmitter may inductively transfer power to a device via a relay. The transmitter may comprise circuitry configured to measure a current or voltage and reconfigure the transmitter with an operating frequency or duty cycle based on a measured change in the current or voltage within a time period. The measured change in the current or voltage within the time period may be caused by a removal of the device or an addition of a new device. The time period may be 200 usec or less.

Abstract: An inductive power outlet operable to transfer power to an inductive power receiver includes a driver wired to a primary inductive coil and operable to provide a driving voltage across the primary inductive coil. The primary inductive coil is configured to form an inductive couple having a characteristic resonant frequency with at least one secondary inductive coil wired to an electric load, the secondary inductive coil being associated with the inductive power receiver. The driving voltage oscillates at a transmission frequency substantially different from the characteristic resonant frequency of the inductive couple.

Abstract: A pinless power plug for receiving wireless power from a pinless power jack, comprises at least one secondary coil for inductively coupling with a primary coil. The primary coil is associated with the pinless power jack. The primary coil is shielded behind an insulating layer. The pinless power jack further comprises at least two magnetic anchors arranged around a perimeter of the at least one secondary coil in an annular configuration concentric and non-overlapping with the at least one secondary coil. The at least two magnetic anchors are configured to magnetically couple with at least two magnetic snags in the pinless power jack.
