The location of the bone conduction element may be repositioned by sliding a slidably-coupled section to which the bone conduction element is attached. The ear bud may be disengaged without disturbing the positioning of the bone conduction element. Additionally, the earpiece may be attached to a base member via a pivoting element that is coupled to wire that retracts into the base member. The base member can be controlled by a cell phone and charge by plugging into a solar harness.
