An apparatus for classifying focus points detected in media content associated with an event(s) and generating a media content recording with media segments associated with a portion of the focus points may include a processor and memory storing executable computer program code that cause the apparatus to at least perform operations including receiving items of recorded media content and sensor data, from one or more devices, corresponding to at least one event. The computer program code may further cause the apparatus to determine one or more focus points of interest in the media content indicating areas or locations of interest that are associated with the event. The computer program code may further cause the apparatus to classify the focus points of interest based in part on analyzing respective items of the sensor data.
