The methods of the present invention comprise the steps of receiving a message comprising a service configuration for a client device connected to the data network and information regarding the bandwidth policy of the service configuration from the service management server (150). A service according to the information regarding the bandwidth policy of the service configuration is configured in the access node (120) and the intermediate node (130, 140), respectively.
