In application of a correction process for protecting the hybrid helicopter, piloting orders generated by a manual control member relate to an airspeed setpoint and they are corrected by control means in accordance with at least one correction mode in which the piloting orders are corrected in application of a rule that takes account of a setpoint consumed power corresponding to the airspeed setpoint derived from the piloting order.
