An electrical connector including a contact sub-assembly having a plurality of mating conductors that are configured to transmit signal current. Each of the mating conductors extends between an engagement portion and an interior portion of the respective mating conductor. The engagement portions are located proximate to one another at a first nodal region. The interior portions are located proximate to one another at a second nodal region. The electrical connector also includes first open-ended conductors that are electrically connected to the engagement portions of corresponding mating conductors. The electrical connector also includes second open-ended conductors that are electrically connected to the interior portions of corresponding mating conductors. The first open-ended conductors are capacitively coupled to the second open-ended conductors.
