A white LED driver controls current to the white LED and a RGB LED driver controls current to the RGB LED. A lighting system including the lighting apparatus and a system controller having a memory in which preset lighting programs are stored. A method for method for providing wash lighting comprising the steps of emitting a current color and intensity from a white LED and from a RGB LED, receiving data representing a change of color and intensity from the current color and intensity for at least the RGB LED and emitting white light that is on the Planckian locus in the CIE 1931 chromaticity diagram.
