The apparatus body includes a first processing unit that executes an arithmetic operation; a first storage unit that stores configuration information of the first processing unit; and a first control unit that controls a readout of the configuration information. The system control apparatus includes a second storage unit that stores a program for controlling the system control apparatus and diagnosis procedures of the information processing apparatus; a second processing unit that reads the program and executes the program; and a second control unit that detects the first processing unit by reading the configuration information via the first control unit on the basis of the diagnosis procedures stored in the second storage unit simultaneously with the execution of the program by the second processing unit.
