The apparatus is configured to store resource descriptions of a number of resources operatively connected to the apparatus, the resource descriptions including resource identification information, generate and store alternative descriptions of received resource descriptions by changing at least part of the identification information of the descriptions, publish at least some of the resource descriptions in a network, and handle resource data requests from the network relating to the resources.
