The detected pixels are false-contour-occurring pixels. The specific color pixel detection circuit detects pixels which have a specific color within a specific color range, among the false-contour-occurring pixels. The detected pixels are specific color false-contour-occurring pixels. The false contour reduction processing circuit performs a false contour reducing process on the specific color false-contour-occurring pixels.
