The channel structure includes at least first and second analytical channels for receiving first and second portions of a blood sample applied to the application site. The first analytical channel includes a first analytical site to determine the total haemoglobin value (Hb) of the blood sample. The second analytical channel includes a second analytical site to determine a glycohaemoglobin value (HbA1c) of the blood sample.
