Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may receive scheduling information that schedules a shared channel that is associated with a first beamforming configuration; determine that a gap between the shared channel and a resource associated with a second beamforming configuration fails to satisfy a threshold, wherein the UE is configured to monitor the resource associated with the second beamforming configuration; and modify at least one of the gap to satisfy the threshold or the second beamforming configuration to match the first beamforming configuration based at least in part on determining that the gap fails to satisfy the threshold.
