A method including determining, by a first device in a mesh network, that a second device has joined the mesh network; transmitting, by the first device based at least in part on determining that the second device has joined the mesh network, a request to receive communication information indicating a meshnet address associated with the second device; updating, by the first device based at least in part on receiving the meshnet address, a meshnet address map to indicate an association of the second device with the meshnet address; and transmitting, by the first device based at least in part on updating the meshnet address map, meshnet data to the second device utilizing the updated meshnet address map.
