A method may comprise initiating a first communication session with a premises device and using the first communication session to transmit a command to the premise device by a gateway device. The command may be associated with event data associated with a premises. The method may further comprise initiating a second communication session with the gateway device and using the second communication session to transmit the event data to the gateway device by the premises device.
