Abstract:
Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to an evolved packet core (“EPC”) applications microservices broker (“microservices broker”). According to one aspect of the concepts and technologies disclosed herein, a microservices broker can receive a microservice request that identifies a microservice. The microservices broker can check a microservices broker database for a user equipment (“UE”) that is capable of servicing the microservice request. The microservices broker can request a status of the UE from a home subscriber server (“HSS”). The status can indicate whether or not the UE is connected to a radio access network (“RAN”). If the status indicates that the UE is connected to the RAN, the microservices broker can route the microservice request to the UE for providing the microservice.
