The apparatus includes arrangements of driven comminuting rollers and housing (1) with an overhead inlet (6) and a bottom outlet (7) for ground commodity, and may include at least two or more rotatably driven comminuting rollers (2, 3) arranged in at least two or more levels (4, 5) one above the other. The rollers (2, 3) are studded with cams (24) for a comminution operation. Combs (15) may interface with the comminuting rollers. Comb adjusters (23) facilitate adjustment of combs that are adjustable.
