The housing cover has a multi-layered construction and includes a lower metal layer and an upper metal layer. The lower metal layer and the upper metal layer are mutually disposed so as to be substantially vertically spaced apart, define a cover space therebetween, and are fixedly interconnected at peripheries. A plastics core layer substantially fills the cover space and mechanically interconnects the two metal layers.
