The method for managing a storage device of a first electronic device including detecting a storage capacity of the storage device in response to a second electronic device accessing the storage device; and sending a trigger signal to a processor in response to detecting that the storage capacity meets a threshold, the trigger signal sending the first electronic device into an operating mode, wherein the first electronic device includes the processor and a network connector, and the second electronic device accesses the storage device through the network connector.
