The image capture apparatus includes a connection unit that receives power from a power supply device, a charging control unit that charges the battery by using power received from the power supply device, a power supply control unit that supplies power to components of the image capture apparatus by using power received from the power supply device, and a control unit that controls charging of the battery and power supply to the components of the image capture apparatus by using power received from the power supply device, according to whether or not an operating mode of the image capture apparatus is restricted due to heat from the battery.
