A processor of this image processing apparatus performs development processing on an image, acquires a singular value with respect to a pixel value contained in a partial region in the image on which the development processing has been performed, corrects the singular value according to a value of a parameter in the development processing, and calculates a corrected pixel value in the partial region with use of the corrected singular value.
