A cluster of architectural segments is detected in a data source. The cluster of architectural segments represent a set of architectural features of the architectural layout. Based on the cluster of architectural segments, a set of junctures is identified. Using the set of junctures, a set of contours is determined. Based on the set of contours, the set of candidate spatial zones is generated.
