The access method comprises: receiving an access-associated signal from at least one path, wherein the access-associated signal is separately sent by an access point device by using at least two non-coherent antennas; and sending an access request in at least one Direction of Arrival of access-associated signals corresponding to some antennas of the at least two non-coherent antennas. According to the method and the apparatus in the embodiments of this application, an access request is sent in at least one Direction of Arrival of access-associated signals corresponding to some antennas of an access point device, which can reduce a probability of a collision between access terminals and improve an access success rate of an access terminal.
