An embodiment of the system comprises one or more pods, each of the one or more pods comprising a Bluetooth radio; one or more remote audio monitors, each of the remote audio monitors comprising a Bluetooth radio; a first Bluetooth enabled receiving device; and a second Bluetooth enabled receiving device. The system can selectively alert users to sounds generated. Users may be selectively alerted based on the time of day.
