While using the 3D model, data is provided which describes the vertices of the part of the object within the three-dimensional room and which describes the color values associated with the vertices. For generating a two- or three-dimensional depiction of at least part of an object, the data provided is transmitted, and a 2D or 3D image of the part of the object is generated while using the transmitted data.
