The first coupling elements are retained on the helmet shell via a retainer of a connecting device in different positions one behind the other along a longitudinal axis of an adjustment path. Each of the first coupling elements has arranged thereon a first coupling member which is arranged in a first laterally offset position in relation to the retainer, which is arranged along the longitudinal axis of the adjustment path.
