The correction factor calculation circuit calculates a white color distance, a complementary color distance, and an elementary color distance and calculates the correction factors based on the white color distance, the complementary color distance and the elementary color distance. The correction factors are calculated based on: white point correction parameters, top correction parameters, and intermediate correction parameters. The intermediate correction parameters are defined to control the R, G, and B grayscale values of the output image data for the case when the input image data corresponds to each of elementary colors R, G, and B, and complementary colors C, M, and Y of an intermediate grayscale value.
