The electronic apparatus includes a power controller configured to control a supplying of power with respect to a plurality of optical fiber lines which are configured for facilitating a data transfer between the electronic apparatus and an external apparatus; and a processor configured to determine a data rate that corresponds to the data transfer between the electronic apparatus and the external apparatus, to determine a number of the optical fiber lines to be used for performing the data transfer based on the determined data rate, and to control the power controller to supply power to the determined number of the optical fiber lines.
