The user uses a cross key and a determination button of an inputting section of a camcorder: to operate an anchor on an image selection screen, to operate a page backward feeding button and to operate a page feeding button to select a thumbnail image displayed. In response to an operation by the user, the anchor is positioned on the side of the number of the thumbnail image designated by the user, and image data of the thumbnail image at which the anchor is positioned are selected.
