A portable article for administrating therapy to a user includes a device positioned along the area of the body requiring therapy. At least one power pod is associated with the device and the power pod simultaneously applies a first force component perpendicular to the user's body surface and a second force component parallel to the user's body surface. An illustrative embodiment is a vest worn by the user during therapy.
